Korean Students from Daegu Haany University and Kyungpook National University Explore Vietnamese Language and Culture at VSLC, Ton Duc Thang University

In the summer of 2025, the Center for Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese for Foreigners (VSLC), Ton Duc Thang University successfully organized a one-week cultural immersion program for students from Daegu Haany University and Kyungpook National University, South Korea.

To help Korean students connect more deeply with Vietnamese culture, the program focused on communicative Vietnamese classes. Under the guidance of native teachers, the students quickly mastered conversational phrases on topics such as greetings, self-introductions, family, hobbies, ordering food, asking for prices, and more—enabling them to confidently interact, explore, and immerse themselves in the vibrant daily life of local people.

After just one week of study at VSLC, many students shared that they could confidently introduce themselves in Vietnamese. This not only brought them unexpected joy but also gave them strong motivation to continue learning Vietnamese. “Each class was fun and friendly, which made us love Vietnamese even more,” one student shared.
